This is my first draft of my school magazine cover! I  decided to call my magazine 'Form! as in 'Sixth Form College', I think this is an appropriate name for a school magazine and it sounds hip and catchy. I used the font 'Gil Sans Ultra Bold' for my Masthead because it is very large, bold and eye catching, so people will notice the magazine straight away. The other font I have used on this page is 'Impact', I used this font because I think as it is bold but slightly different it goes well with my other font. I decided to use the colour white for my masthead and I put a big black outline around it so that it really stands out.  I used lots of other colours for my other subheadings because I wanted my magaine to be very vibrant and bold. I used effects on some of my fonts like bevels and drop shadows, I did this to make the magazine look really cool and interesting. I also made most of my fonts slant downwards because I wanted my magazine to look cool and different to most other school magazines. I layed out my magazine so that it works well with the human eye flow from top left to bottom right. So the first thing people read is the Marylebone on the building so they know its Marylebone school's magazine,
and the last thing they read is FORM and the bottom kicker so they know the title and then become interested by the kicker.

My magazine came out quite a bit different to my plan, but I think it looks a lot better than what I had planned. I used a slightly different image because I produced one that worked and looked better than one I had originally planned to take and use. I also changed how my masthead and date were displayed but I think they look better this way. I

I think I do need to make some improvements. I want to change some of the colours of the fonts so that there isn't so many different colours because right now it is hard to focus on just one thing.  I'm really pleased with the cover so far and I think that it is very eye catching and people will want to read it.
